How to create a voucher

1. Log in to the Mr Yum 'Reward' tool.
2. Click Vouchers in the left-hand corner
3. Click the + button in the top right-hand corner
4. Click Create under Discount coupons
5. Under Program Name, select a name for your vouchers
6. Set the number of vouchers you would like under Code Count
7. Click Advanced code settings
   1. Under Charset you can restrict the characters used.
   2. Code Length sets how long the voucher code will be
   3. You can add a prefix (MRYUMxxx), postfix (xxxMRYUM) or Pattern (MRxxxYUM) to your codes here.
   Try and keep these simple for your customers so they are easy to remember and enter.
   - Less than 4 characters
   - Number or alphabetic is easier than using both.
8. In the right-hand tool-bar, select Next Steps
9. From here you can set the Timeframe that the voucher is valid for. If you would like it to be valid at all times, you can leave this blank.
   1. You can set a start and finish date and time.
   2. You can also set this code to be valid only on specific days by ticking Valid on particular days only and then ticking the days.
10. In the right-hand tool-bar, select Next Steps
11. On this page you can select the type of voucher you would like to setup
    1. Amount type is a set dollar amount of discount, ie $10 off. Enter the $ discount in Discount Value
    2. Percentage type is a percentage discount, ie 10% off. Enter the % discount in Value. You can also add an Amount Limit for the discount
    3. Unit type is a free item, ie free cheeseburger. Enter the amount of free items the customer will receive for the voucher under Unit value. Then select the free product under Select unit type and leave the Select discount effect as is.
    If you want to set up a unit type voucher, you first need to add a product into Reward. To learn how to add a product, go here.
12. On this page you can also add validation rules.

13. In the right-hand tool-bar, select Next Steps
    1. If you use Doshii or Maitre'd, you need to enter a posID in this section.
       1. For Doshii, enter "doshiiDiscountId" as the Key and your voucher posid as the Value
          
       2. For Maitre'd, enter "maitreDDiscountId" as the Key and your voucher posid as the Value
          
          
14. In the right-hand tool-bar, select Next Steps
15. Check the summary and if you are happy, press Save

Once you have setup your voucher, you can distribute these to your customers and they enter them in the cart under Discount Code.
