Add Google Tag Manager to Mr Yum
What is Google Tag Manager?
Google Tag Manager (GTM) is the “no-coding-required” solution for your website that allows you to track more data without adding any HTML code to your website. You’re here to run a venue, not double as a web developer!
GTM becomes very handy when you have lots of tags to manage because all of the code is stored in one place.
You won’t need to worry about calling an engineer to ask “Hey how do I add this code to the website?”
Track your Google Ads conversions
For example, you have a restaurant in Melbourne and decide to run a Google Ads campaign around the following topic:
“Best restaurant in Melbourne”

With Mr Yum and Google Tag Manager, you will be able to track a conversion when someone clicks on your ad and comes to spend $ at your restaurant!
Simply: Google will remember the person who clicks the ad, and when that person places a Mr Yum order on mryum.com/[yourvenue], will attribute that transaction to the ad they saw. Winning!
Use Google Analytics to learn more about your customers
With Google Tag Manager you will now be able to see where your customers come from, what's their typical journey on your online menu and more!
All you need to do, is making sure that the Google Analytics tag is installed in GTM.
Here's a quick tutorial on how to do it!
How to add your Google Tag Manager?
1. Go to Marketing > Social Media Integrations

2. Paste your GTM Container ID into the Google Tag Manager ID field
3. Click Save
Where do I find my Google Tag Manager ID?
Log in to your Google Tag Manager and click the icon in the top left corner. Don’t have GTM set up? No worries, keep reading!

Then, you’ll be able to see your Container ID that will look similar to this “GTM-KN45THF”

Here is a video guiding you through the process:

I don't have Google Tag Manager. How do I set it up?
Not a problem! To set up your GTM go to this link and click “Start for free” in the top right corner.
You will be redirected to a page to set up your account.
Account Setup
Add your Account Name (e.g. venue name) and the country (e.g. Australia)
Container Setup
A container is a sort of a bucket where you will insert everything you want to track, but without using any code!
You can call your container with the name of your venue.
In the Target platform select Web then click create.
Now, you will be redirected to the main page of GTM and a pop up window including your GTM code will appear.
This will be the last time you will ever add any code to your website!
Once you have added the 2 snippets of code into the field of your main website, you are ready to go 🎉
All you need to do now is to copy your container ID and paste it into the Mr Yum platform!
So now what?
You’ve set up your GTM on your Mr Yum URL and are ready to start running google ad campaigns. See this guide from Google to get started (choose google’s most simple ad guide)
