Add your Facebook Pixel

Kerry Updated by Kerry

What is a Facebook Pixel?

The Facebook pixel allows you to track all the visitors to your Mr Yum menu and create an audience of those people that you can later target ads to on Facebook.

This is a very warm audience to send ads to as they've already been on your menu so will be familiar with your brand, as opposed to simply boosting posts to complete strangers that aren't very effective and impossible to measure results of.

With the Facebook pixel, you can track how many orders your ads actually resulted in, then tweak your ads accordingly to try to get your ad-spend per order (Conversion cost) lower and lower.

For example, you may spend $50 on Facebook ads. By having your Facebook pixel installed on your Mr Yum menu, you can see that those ads resulted in 5 pickup or delivery orders. You will then know that your advertising cost per order was $10. If your average sale in $80, for example, then this might be a profitable marketing channel for you!

Follow these instructions from Facebook

Setting up Custom Conversions on Facebook

Here are instructions on how to set up Custom Conversions in the Facebook Ads Manager Platform. We recommend you consult a professional if you are not familiar with this process.

In the instructions linked to above, ignore all the content that's above the heading "Use custom conversions to set up standard events without additional code" as you have already entered your Facebook pixel on your Mr Yum menu by following the instructions at the top of this page.

To set up a custom conversion event for when someone purchases something on your Mr Yum menu, the URL of your payment confirmation pages are:

Dine-in Orders: https://www.mryum.com/yourvenueurl/checkout/dine-in/confirmation

Pickup Orders: https://www.mryum.com/yourvenueurl/checkout/pickup/confirmation

Delivery Orders: https://www.mryum.com/yourvenueurl/checkout/delivery/confirmation

The only way for people to land on those URLs is if they have placed an order on your menu.
