How to manage your wait times

If your venue is experiencing extended wait times due to a large number of orders, you can inform your customers to manage their expectations that food or drinks are taking longer than usual.

When the busy status is set, your menu category page will show a message to your customers saying, "The kitchen is experiencing extended wait times. Thanks for your patience."

How to Enable the Wait Times Feature

  1. Go to Orders > Live Orders.
  2. Click Manage Wait Time button on the top right.
  3. Click Set Busy for your kitchen or bar.
  4. Select the number of minutes you'd like the busy message to appear on your menu for. It will automatically stop appearing after that time, which avoids staff forgetting to remove it. You can always set it again if it's still busy.
  5. The Set Busy button on this page will now display the time when the busy status is due to end. You can extend the time any time by clicking on it and selecting a new amount of minutes.

How to Disable the Wait Times Feature

You also have the option to end the busy status earlier than planned.

  1. Go to Orders > Live Orders.
  2. Click Manage Wait Time button on the top right.
  3. Click Busy until X am/pm.
  4. Click No longer busy.
  5. The button will now return to Set Busy and customers will no longer see the banner.
